BBA Hotshots Finale: Idris The Winner

The final moment is on us. Tayo and Idris are brought through via limosine and are on stage with IK, waiting to hear which one of them will be crowned this season's winner, who will be Africa's Big Brother Hotshot? They make a great entrance to the live stage. Idris is speechless, Tayo, more casually dressed than we expected watches his final video of his 63 days in the house, he shuffles around nervously.  

Idris, looking suave in his suit clearly enjoys his video and watches himself intently. IK chats to Tayo and Tayo says that things changed for him in the house. They chat about the fight earlier on in the week between the final two hotshots, but both say that it is water under the bridge. IK sings "Mr Loverman, Idris." Idris, the funnyman of th ehouse, discusses having fun in the house during the last week, IK asks Tayo if the pressure got to him towards the end and he says that he chilled for the past week as he felt he had done everything already. Tayo says that he would give a "grand prize" to the woman who "walked into his house." Idris says that he will "give the money back to Africa." We are not sure that yu can take him literally on this.

IK stands on stage with the final envelope that reveals the winner. "The winner of Big Brother Hotshots is..." IK leaves them hanging, the drone keeps droning on, IK extends their agony. "That person is Idris."  

Idris is the winner! Africa has chosen as Idris charmed not only the women of the house, he charmed the entire continent of Africa. Idris is now USD300 000 richer. Both are winners, Tayo played an amazing game but Idris is the ultimate winner and there is much joyous celebration. A popular winner indeed.  Take a bow Idris, Africa salutes you. 


Big Brother Hotshots is the 9th edition of the famous continental reality show and after 63 days in the house, 8 finalists – Sipe, Nhlanhla, Mackey 2, JJ, Idris, Mam’bea, Butterphly and Tayo emerged and they were evicted in the following order: Butterphly and Mam’bea, JJ and Sipe, Nhlanhla and Macky2, leaving Idris and Tayo. Idris from Tanzania emerged the winner of the much coveted $300,000 and the bragging rights as the ‘Hotshots’ winner....
