The news in town lately is that veteran actor, Yinka Quadri, may have gone back to the university to complete his education.
Since the news filtered in some weeks back, Yinka’s fans have been
asking what could have pushed him to return to school, with some already
concluding that the Kwara State born actor was preparing his way to
join politics.
Yinka, it will be recalled, dropped out of school at a tender age to
take over his father’s business. According to him, dropping out of
school was his sole decision back then, stressing that he never
regretted the decision even though he would not rule out the possibility
of going back to school later.
While speaking with Encomium Magazine in a recent chat, he explained why he’s back to school.
I am going back to school to hone my skill in film production, particularly production design at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.
I have every reason to believe that it would better the lot of the industry and it would also adequately prepare me for my political ambition.
I feel very elated and happy about it. At 55, I feel very excited going back to school.
The Programme will start in the first week of February 2015. It’s a 6-month programme.
Yinka said he was not shy to announce to the public that
he was returning to school for a diploma in movie production,
particularly production design. He expressed his joy at his decision and
urged his fans to wish him well.
